This month my thoughts have turned to "living history". Every time, anyone of us steps up to the forge, picks up a hammer and starts to work metal we become living history. As you make something you are placing an indelible mark in time. You do not need to be wearing “period garb”, nor do you need to be using authentic historical practices to accomplish your end goal. Just the fact that you are creating an object makes a mark in time.
