Classic Viking Axe

Service Description

You will make a Viking era axe by folding mild steel to form an eye and then forge weld a high carbon steel bit into the axe to make the cutting edge. We will supply the tools you need for this job but if the class goes well, on the third day we will walk you through the process to make your own tools; or you can spend time carving the wood handle and embellishing with a para cord wrap. Plan to be at the shop between 6 to 8 hours each day, bring a lunch Power hammer will be selectively used in this session.
