Service Description
The Smide (smithy) where Blacksmith Lars-Goran Larsson works celebrated 100 years of blacksmithing in 2019. Currently just a one-man shop Lars has developed a unique flowing style for his craft. Sweeping curves are his trademark. I have been privileged to know Lars work for 5 years and to know him personally for the last 2 when I got to visit him at his shop and take notes on how he makes these graceful candle sticks. In this ADVANCED class you will work on drawing out and shaping 1x1/4" flat bar using a number of hand tools, forms and the power hammer. Long natural fiber trousers and solid shoes are required, long sleeve shirt recommended.
