Let's make some smoke and noise. Open forge for FABA members. Not a member of FABA? go to www.blacksmithing.org to join. Only $30/year for the whole family. Our Spring meeting (usually May) is focused on our project for the FABA regional competition. Or fall meeting (usually early November) is our local forging competition, different project every year. You will have 5 hours to craft the objective once the hammer falls. SAFETY first! Wear natural fiber long trousers and solid shoes. No synthetic fabrics: blue jeans and leather boots work best. Long sleeve natural fiber (i.e. cotton) shirt is recommended. Eye protection - safety glasses - will be provided and must be worn at all times when working. Ear protection will be available.
