Forging Dragons!
Because a story is never really that good unless it has a dragon
Service Description
In this class, we will explore how to make a dragon face on the end of a piece of steel. I’ve seen these used as ornamentation for fire pokers and other types of equipment used around the Smithy. But it also makes a great ornament for a lock hasp or anything else you might imagine. Once you know how to make a dragon face, you can modify it to turn it into a ram's head or some kind of a bull. You can even go a little farther and make them into a donkey or a dog face. However, this class will focus on just the basics of making a dragon. And, because no one has ever actually seen a real dragon, what you create has to be right! This class is a good follow-on to our introduction class, you will learn to split the steel, accomplish a small forge weld, add some twists and selective punching to achieve the look. Lots of fun!
