Service Description
The trademark of a blacksmith is to make your own tools. In this 4-hour session our first project will start with a plasma cut tong blanks. You will draw out the reins and form the jaws. Then we’ll drill and rivet them together, giving you a sturdy and reliable set of tongs to use for your future projects. You’ll also learn about making a set of "no-tong, tongs" and we will show you how to make a set of “Collins” tongs,. A unique tool which can be made quickly and easily for use during those times when you need something NOW. Add new skills (and tools) to your toolbox, be ready to tackle more challenging projects in the future. This is a moderately advanced class, an "Introduction" class is highly recommended before taking this class. Bring a snack or lunch.

Cancellation Policy
To cancel please give us at least 72 hours notice so we might be able to offer your class slot to another participant. SAFETY first! Wear natural fiber long trousers and solid shoes. No synthetic fabrics: blue jeans and leather boots work best. Long sleeve natural fiber (i.e. cotton) shirt is recommended. Eye protection - safety glasses - will be provided and must be worn at all times when working. Ear protection will be available.
